    Disability Awareness 101: Session II: Inclusive Hiring Practices Over 21.4% of today's workforce in the U.S. consists of persons with a disability who represent a significant and largely underutilized resource for businesses. Many disabled persons are underemployed or unemployed. With more attention now on the disability community and a shrinking labor pool, employers are taking a serious look at hiring and retaining persons with disabilities. This half-day workshop will give supervisors, managers, and human resource professionals the tools and resources needed for creating a more welcoming, diverse and inclusive workplace. A focus on inclusive hiring practices, including what the culture of your organization looks like, an in-depth panel discussion, breaking down the ADA and a great keynote presentation by Lucia Rios, The Source. Length of Session: 3.5 Hours

    Diversity Ambassador Program Session 1: Diversity 101: Building the Business Case* This 6-hour program will take attendees through an in-depth discussion of why diversity and inclusion needs to be a core value and business imperative in your organization. In Session I of this four part series, we will go through the terminology of diversity and inclusion and begin laying the foundation to identify the essential strategies needed for a strong and effective Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace. This session includes step-by-step instruction on how to create a mapping/diversity audit of your organization. No matter where you are on the journey all are encouraged to take part in this session.

Between in-depth and intense discussions and table exercises, TPF teaches you how to identify and remove biases, isms and stereotypes from both our personal space and the workplace, including how microaggressions, left unchecked can cause great harm to your organization.
